Pondichery from dawn to dusk

the planning was sudden.the idea of an pondi trip was held in my my mind from long time back..and this was time to foster it...we had a indica taxi to drive with..the journey started with the dawn. we did had a tailor made plan..everything was Instantaneous, coz tailor made plans always had its pull of energy to keep up with the schedule.

we started with mahabalipuram, the stone works against the blue sky was a feast for an photographer...every snap made some sense...the temples had tonnes of history to speak with us....coz they have been standing there for generations....the architecture was a marvel..the only thing stopping us from exploring more was the radiant sun rays...

all was built majestically..i was amazed to see few guides explaining the rock carvings to foreigners,it made me think i was knowing a bit of our history...they were rewriting history accordingly to their flavor to match with the carvings,pathetic....

we started there by 12pm and reached pondi by 3pm...had our lunch with pondi special....Then back to hotel...four in a room, rent too reasonable......seems coming from chennai to pondi i could feel the big difference....difference across everything...room rent, food, drinks everything...
after a brief snap we moved towards beach...

the beach drawn across sunset was awesome..a good walk on the beach was refreshing...sea on my right and french style buildings on my right...we could see the police parade playing different tunes...one thing u notice with the policemen are their stylish hats....
after a good walk we returned back to our rooms, freshened our self
and directed our driver to the best pub there...
but to our big disappointed only two notable pubs where there..any
way we found them and dashed for one....to add to our disappointment the pub was only a local bar with a strong board PUB outside the building...any way we decided to give our search and have our drinks from there...everything was fine...
Next day was greeted by the energizing rays..the town was totally painted well with the rays reaching every nuke and corner..we boarded our car and headed straight towards matrimandir inside aurbindu ashram....it was a ashram which had 2000 people across
different nationalities gathered for different purpose cutting across religion and region....for a common cause....After having a good look around the ashram we were directed towards matrimandir which
they have built for meditation...luck not favoring us we were not allowed to enter inside the mandir(coz some renovation work was gng on)...so by 12 we packed off everything and moved back towards chennai...
Pondichery trip was a much awaited break and surely a must visit place if ur in chennai..The stay is available in plenty with reasonable rates and the food is also good...Good time to visit is September to march...The trip was memorable for the places we visited and people we met across(people are very helping in guiding the way)..
